Totally my thing: Based on this slogan, the Erding thermal spa has built its new large-scale advertising campaign. In order to produce moving images for the difficult to present sauna area of Europe’s largest thermal spa, we, the Heroes group AG, were consulted. With three commercials for TV, cinema and internet, all three target groups needed to be emotionally engaged. A high quality commercial with the difficulty of showing the variety of the sauna without showing too much skin.
We accompanied Therme Erding from conception, storyboard, shooting schedule, shotlist, filming organization to the post production. We – and our trusted camera team – did lots of sweating.
Due to the high organisational effort, the scenes for all three commercials needed to be set and done within two days of shooting.
Challenges during the shooting:

A TOTAL OF SEVEN MODELS SPREAD OVER ABOUT 50 SHOTS
THE PERFECT STAGING OF UNCLOTHED PEOPLE EVEN IN THE WATER WITHOUT DAMAGING THE TECHNOLOGY
In order to disturb the guests as little as possible, the shooting started at half past four in the morning. Fortunately, the team was able to survive this without too much damage. Thank you, caffeine, for saving our lives. Thanks to extensive communication during the planning phase, the filming was completed on schedule without problems. This cannot be taken for granted when shooting under such difficult conditions.
This project is a great example of a film shoot running smoothly despite difficult conditions. If the planning phase is taken seriously by everyone involved, it can be done. All the attention paid to detail can seem exaggerated or exhausting – but was an absolute necessity for the project filming in the sauna area and helped achieve a result that is satisfactory in every way. Thanks to an extensive editing schedule and detailed documentations at the end of the project, post-production was able to deliver the desired end products quickly.
